ABOUT THIS ISSUE
The word discern has its roots in the Greek word anakrino in the New Testament. It means to distinguish, to separate out by diligent search, to examine. Discernment is the ability to properly discriminate or make determinations. Discernment is related to wisdom. The Word of God itself is said to discern the thoughts and intentions of one’s heart (Hebrews 4:12).
